Why Choose Us

Oxford Knee Group aim to ensure that your experience as a patient is the best it possibly can be. Detailed below are some great reasons to see us.

Skilled & Experienced

As dedicated knee surgeons we see a large number of patients with knee problems, this enables us to assess your problems quickly and give you the best advice on how to manage them. This sub-specialisation allows us to perform a larger number of specific knee operations compared to colleagues with less specialist interest. There is good evidence nationally and internationally that the higher volume surgeons generally achieve better results. For more information please click on [Quality assurance Link?].

Our surgeons are recognised nationally and internationally and are regularly invited to lecture and teach in the UK and Overseas.

Expert multi-disciplinary Team

The Oxford Knee group is part of the Oxford Orthopaedic Group. Within this group we have specialists who deal with hip, foot, ankle, and upper limb problems, as well as links with a specialist Paediatric (Children’s) Orthopaedic surgeon. We work closely with a number of other specialists and have close links with our physiotherapists, sports medicine physicians, rheumatologists, radiologists, and anaesthetists.

Dedicated To Improving Treatment

On-going Research and treatment Development

We are currently involved in a large number of trials and research projects based out of the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences (NDORMS). We have several collaborations with Industry looking at new technologies and treatments. This allows us to offer you the most up to date treatments for your knee problems.

Commitment to High Quality Care

Our research and development is not just focused on new technologies and treatments. A significant part of our research programme is looking at evolving more effective and efficient pathways for treating knee problems. We aim to provide a programme of care from your first consultation, your journey through treatment, and your continued care and assessment into the future. We welcome feedback from patients as to how this pathway could be improved. At certain times through your pathway you may be asked to complete assessment forms. This helps us evaluate the treatments we give and allows us to constantly improve the service we deliver.

Our results

We pride ourselves on the delivery of high quality care. This both involves your experience through your care pathway, where we aim to minimise any stress and anxiety you may have, but also the delivery of treatment which maximises symptom improvement and minimises complications.
